Making the Holidays Brighter

14 January 2016 | 12:39 pm

Thanks to the kindness throughout our community, families affected by domestic and sexual violence
were able to get extra help and support this holiday season. Survivors selected gifts of toys, games, books and more, all donated by community members. CARDV volunteers assisted survivors with wrapping and packaging the presents; others provided childcare while parents and grandparents made their gift selections.

“I was so worried about what I was going to do to get presents for my kids. I had no idea there would be so many toys here and I feel so much more hopeful than I did!” CARDV Client

This year, 31 adult survivors and 63 child survivors had a more joyful holiday season! Thank you to the community for giving generously of your time and gifts this holiday season to support survivors.
